Gone Walking (on Islay)
The following sentence is the one I've been looking forward to write for quite a while now: This Thursday (or in other words, tomorrow), the Islaymobile will take me on its first of hopefully many journeys to Islay. As mentioned before I will be participating in my sixth WalkIslay Islay Walking Week after 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and most recently 2007. Have I mentioned that I'm looking forward to it?
I already know of a few other regulars who will be returning as well, I'm looking forward to see them again. I expect there will be a few walkers for whom it will be their first experience of walking on Islay, I'm looking forward to get to know them and I'm sure they'll enjoy the experience. For anyone interested in the walks I'm planning to go on, I've detailed them in the Islay Walking Week WalkIslay 2008 Programme entry.
Last year I did some ‘live blogging’ during the week, I haven't decided yet if I'll repeat the effort this year. The last few weeks have been quite exhausting for a number of reasons, so I might decide to just give it a break. In that case why not try the archives, there are almost 600 entries in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 IslayBlog.com archives. Or if you haven't tried them yet my Isle of Islay pages as well as the Islay Travelogues from all my previous visits. If all that doesn't keep you busy for quite some time then I don't know what else to say...
There will be plenty of more Islay blogging after my return including hopefully many new pictures from Islay, so watch this space...
