Islay Festival 2007 Picture Travelogue
Sometimes I find great information or pictures about Islay in unexpected places. I'm not entirely sure how I found this one, I think a Google search for something else Islay related. Anyway, the New School of Photography (which looks interesting for great pictures in general) has a forum. In this forum we find an excellent travelogue with many pictures:
User Pomorski posted a long thread with many pictures from his 2007 Feis Ile visit: Feis Ile 2007, Isle of Islay, Scotland. There are a lot of quite large pictures, so it might take a while to load. But it's definitely worth it. It starts with some pictures from the journey, in particular Tarbert and an excursion to Skipness on Kintyre. On Islay the focus is obviously on the distilleries, but there are also some pictures of other sights.
I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I did, may be with a wee dram? I had a Laphroaig Quarter Cask this evening.
