Unusual Laphroaig Islay Whisky Tasting

Should I post it, should I not? Those who follow me on Twitter where I first mentioned it will have seen it already, as will readers of Serge's Whisky Fun who also picked it up. As some of you might not visit either I decided to also bring it here, the most unusual Laphroaig Islay single malt whisky tasting I can remember:

DirectForPeatSake!

Is that good or bad? I'll let you decide. Some might argue those guys are clueless and don't even know how to pronounce Islay. Others will argue that it will bring the taste of a good Islay single malt to people who might not have tried it otherwise. Some will tell them to just stick to their Bourbon and beer. Others will invite them to taste other (Islay hopefully) single malts as well.

I think I'll have a wee dram now. Of Laphroaig obviously.
