Friday Islay Picture #117 - Sound of Islay

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

Friday evening before a bank holiday weekend in England and Wales (not Scotland and therefore Islay though), time to relax with a nice Islay Ale, listening to BBC 6 Music, surfing the web (Oooops, apparently you can't say that any more) and watching funny videos: Eat this you English pig! Not to forget of course the Friday Islay picture. After all the excitement about the Guardian report on tidal energy in the Sound of Islay I thought it's time for a picture of said sound:

Picture of a view down a sound between two islands, a distillery in the foreground and a lighthouse in the distance

That's the wreck of the Wyre Majestic at Bunnahabhain in the foreground, if you look closely you'll also make out McArthur's Head with the lighthouse in the distance. As usual I'll post the larger version (larger as in more than twice as big) on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning, you'll be able to see it much better there.

With that I'm closing for today, have a great weekend (and an even better bank holiday weekend provided you're in England or Wales)! Have a wee dram of Islay single malt, inspired by the picture I've just poured myself a Bunnahabhain Darach Ùr. Good night!
