Friday Islay Picture #139 - Sornbank, Bridgend
Last week I promised a picture of Sornbank for this week's Friday Islay picture, a promise I'm going to keep. But before I get to that I'm going to send a huge Congratulations to Inverness and Islay: Islay High has won Best Production at the FilmG Awards! But not only that, they've also won the People's Award! The long journey has come to a very successful end. I'm sure they are having a unbelievably fantastic evening in Inverness now. Hopefully more later. Back to Islay, actually just around the corner from where part of the entry was filmed, to Sornbank:
This is the River Sorn in Bridgend with Sornbank self catering and B&B on the right, a request by Andreas Wiemers from Germany. I've stayed in the self catering flat with the balcony over the river a few years ago, a very nice place to stay. To see more of it you'll have to wait until Saturday morning when I'll post a larger version on the Islay Pictures photoblog.
With that I wish you a great weekend, I know a bunch of people in Inverness and many on Islay will have one! I think I'm going to pour myself a wee dram of the good Bruichladdich PC8 this evening…
