Islay Links for Early April

Islay Links in stencil

The word blog (or weblog) originally came from a daily list of links, a log book of links people discovered on their journeys through the web. Links these people wanted to share with others. With that in mind I think it's time again for me to share a few Islay related links I've come across recently. I hope you find at least some of them interesting:

It should really have a separate entry, but unfortunately I don't have the time at the moment: Many people will have heard of Gordon's The Spirit of Islay website. Well, today it celebrates it's tenth birthday! Congratulations!

Jean Tatton Jones is a painter working in a variety of media. One of her paintings is Sunset On Islay. I don't know if it is inspired by Islay, but Watching the Waves also fits into an Islay theme.

I'm not sure how current this offer is, but I only found it a week ago: Former Bakery Site, 146 Frederick Crescent, Port Ellen, Islay. Looks like a great location to me.

A few Islay pictures are always welcome, here are Andrew Jones' from a recent visit to Islay: Islay (page 1) and Islay (page 2). Some great shots in there!

And finally a quick excursion to Jura (or at least part of it, as of writing this only part 1 has been published): The Isle of Jura (Part 1) on Glasgow's Whisky (And Ale).

That's all I have for today, if you've got a few more interesting Islay links let me know…
