Jim McEwan talks about the Bruichladdich Octomore

Islay Whisky News & Links in stencil

The guys from SingleMaltTv have recently started to upload various videos to YouTube, including several Islay related ones. Two weeks ago I wrote about the Motorbike Journey to Kilchoman Distillery, Islay, today I'd like to point out a video of their closest distillery neighbour just across the hills from Rockside to Bruichladdich:

YouTube: Bruichladdich Octomore

The video is obviously a bit older, but I think it's still worth watching. As far as I'm concerned Jim is just one of the best whisky salesmen I've ever seen, the way he describes the whisky, his enthusiams, the whole package. Makes me want to drink a wee dram of the Octomore right now. I don't have one in the house, so I'll just have to imagine it and wait until my next Islay visit.

PS: I wasn't aware of it until today, but according to the old singlemalt.tv website they have gone offline in August 2010. They are now uploading various clips onto their SingleMaltTv YouTube account, a good decision I think. Gives people a chance to still watch them.
