Friday Islay Picture #180 - Rocks and Footprints at Saligo Bay

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

Sorry I'm rather late again this evening. I got distracted by a rather wonderful Tom Robinson show on BBC 6 Music with guest Billy Bragg and a wee dram or two of Laphroaig QC. Not to forget some dark chocolate with sea salt. But I'm not going to leave you without the traditional Friday Islay picture. Earlier today Ron posted a few views of a sunny Saligo Bay, so I thought I might as well continue with that theme:

Picture of rocks on a golden sandy beach, footprints in the sand

This is towards the southern end of Saligo Bay, taken in 2007 during a visit to the beach with my sister and parents. I'm not sure whose footprints you can see in the picture. They could be my own, they could be my sisters, they could be my fathers, they could be my mothers, they could be of a complete stranger. I love those rocks, smoothed and polished by the waves and sand over thousands of years.

As usual I will post a larger version (larger as in more than twice as big) on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. Until then, good night, and have a great weekend!
