The Islay Hotel has a Door
Well, thinking about it, that headline isn't entirely accurate. Of course the Islay Hotel in Port Ellen has had a door before. Quite a few doors actually. Just not a front door, only a makeshift plywood cover. This has now changed, as the picture a friend sent me over the weekend shows:
The railing outside the door (I suspect a health & safety requirement to stop people walking directly on to the road?) is still to be galvanised, but I think that should be about it. The next panorama, planned for my visit in June, might well be the final one for the Islay Hotel Port Ellen Panoramas collection. Fingers crossed!
