Friday Islay Picture #199 - June Night Sky
Sorry I'm late again. Longer than hoped day at work, shopping for the weekend and playing around with Google+ (You can now find me via plus.islayblog.com, much easier to remember than the normal profile url) made me fall behind again. Here's a rather late (or may be rather early?) Friday Islay picture:
This is really more of a teaser for the larger version I'll post on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning, as again this works much better in bigger. As the title says, this is the night sky in June. It doesn't really get dark at that time of the year, at least not during a clear night like the one I took this picture. The view is from Kilchoman towards Saligo and Loch Gorm. There are stars in the sky, but they are fairly faint and much better to make out in the bigger version.
