The Return of James Deane, Islay Photographer

Islay Pictures in stencil

OK, OK, he was never really gone, but I thought this title sounds quite exciting and mysterious. If you're reading this at least it got you interested. Those of you who read the Islay Blogging Roundup #184 might remember that I prominently mentioned the Relaunch entry on James Deane Photography - The Blog. Time to take another look at James website:

No change in address, you can find James' website under James Deane Photography. A welcoming intro page where a click on one of the pictures takes you to the respective category of pictures. While the titles are more poetic with ‘Past My Bedtime’ or ‘Sharing Our Island’ the contents are quite straightforward, topics like wildlife, whisky distillieries, night skies or waves. Most of it of course from Islay, but there are also views of Jura and I even spotted one of Gigha and Jura seen from the mainland. Not to forget the ferry crossing from Kennacraig to Islay, mostly to Port Askaig.

Of course James is now offering his pictures for sale, the ordering looks very straightforward to me. Each individual picture page has an order button to check available sizes and prices, where you can then order if you so wish. Not only that, James has also prepared a page about his print sales as well as a whole gallery of examples of his prints.

So why mention the ordering in such detail? Well, I've met James in person, think he's a very nice guy (and great photographer) and worth giving a bit of support when he asked for a bit of help (call that disclosure if you want). Not to forget that in his Relaunch blog entry he mentions an offer code which gives you 30% off a print order until the end of October 2011. No, I'm not going to mention the code here, check James' blog for it.

I hope you'll enjoy James' improved website and find some nice pictures!
