October Islay Holidays

Islay on Video written in stencil

Not long now and I will be on my way to Islay again, my third visit this year and the fifth time I'll be visiting in October. The weather forecast doesn't look too promising at the moment, but then again I've given up believing in weather forecasts a long time ago. Over the last 4 years I've had mixed weather, from brilliant sunshine to pouring rain. Over those years I've also recorded quite a lot of video footage, which together with what I'm hoping to record this year I'm planning to edit into a longer Islay holidays in October video. For now (and to put some pressure on me to really do it) I've created a shorter preview video:

YouTube: Sneak Preview: Islay Holidays in October

As usual it will be quiet on this blog while I'm away, but if at all possible I will update my Isle of Islay Posterous blog with what I'm up to over the next week. Among other things I'm planning are of course birdwatching (35,000 Barnacle Geese for example), distillery visits, meeting old and new friends, beach walking (and jogging), relaxing in front of the open fire and much more.

In the meantime I hope you'll enjoy the preview video, if all goes to plan the extended version should be online by late November. Good night for now.
