Friday Islay Picture #216 - Boats in Sound of Islay

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

Mid November already, it's certainly dark now when I leave the office. And not much different in the morning, it's only just about getting light when I leave for my morning run along the canal. Nothing much to do with Islay, although there is a weak link with today's Friday Islay picture, which I took on the day the clocks went back, giving us much earlier darkness in the afternoons:

Picture of two boats in a sound, one a lifeboat, the other a fishing boat

This was taken from the Islay ferry leaving from Port Askaig at the end of October 2011. Sgarbh Breac in the distance. A lifeboat (not the Islay lifeboat, that was moored at the station in Port Askaig. Don't know which one this was) anchored off Caol Ila. A small fishing boat returning to Port Askaig. The hills in autumn colours.

I hope you'll like the picture, as usual I'll post a larger version on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. For now I wish you a great (and hopefully not too dark) weekend!
