Islay Bird Pictures - From the Other Islay
Islay is known for its wildlife and in particular birdlife. Many pictures of these birds have been taken and posted over the years. So today I'm going to point you to some more Islay bird pictures, but with a twist. The are not from Islay in Scotland, but from Islay in Peru:
The pictures are from a set called Mollendo (a district in the Islay province in Peru). There are quite a few architecture pictures in the set (I believe the photographer is a architect), to see only the bird pictures you can just look at the pictures tagged fauna.
I don't know if any of the birds are the same or at least related to the ones found on Islay, Scotland. This one reminds me of a Whimbrel or Curlew but I can't think of anything like this one immediately.
Hopefully you've enjoyed this short birdwatching excursion to the other Islay. Back to the familiar Islay tomorrow.
