The Maggie and Old Islay Pictures

Islay Pictures in stencil

Many of you will be aware or even watched the Ealing Studies 1954 comedy film The Maggie, partially filmed on Islay. Recently I came across an interesting document on the Kintyre On Record account on document sharing site Scribd. It has some interesting pictures and background about the various locations, including on Islay, where The Maggie was filmed:

In the Wake of The Maggie

For those too lazy to read the whole 21 pages (although I don't think there will be many), the Islay parts are on pages 8-9 and 14. I think it would be a shame not to read the rest as well though.

I think there might be more interesting Islay related documents ‘hidden’ on Scribd, I think I'll have to do a bit of digging around over the next few weeks.
