Friday Islay Picture #234 - Sunny Singing Sands
That's a very long and tiring week finally over. Time to relax and recover. I hear the forecast for the weekend is quite good, so at least some folks on Islay will probably get out to the beach. Some may be even to the Singing Sands near Port Ellen. It probably won't be as warm as when I took this picture in June a few years ago, but should still look fairly similar:
This was somewhere at the southern end of the beach, if I remember correctly. If you look closely you can make out Kintyre in the distance. You can see it much better in the bigger version, which I'll post on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning.
For me it's time for a well earned wee dram or two now, may be a Bruichladdich or a Laphroaig, or both. Have a great weekend!
