Friday Islay Picture #235 - Rock Formations at Mala Bholsa

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

More a Saturday Islay picture than a Friday Islay picture this week. After another very long day in the office followed by having to do some food shopping it's now gone midnight when I'm writing this entry. Anyway, inspired by James Deane's Overnight Walk to Bholsa I've decided to revisit some of my pictures from a walk to said location two years ago. Here's the picture I've picked up tonight, some nice rock formations including a natural arch below Mala Bholsa:

In the background, across the sea, you can make out Colonsay and the Isle of Mull with Ben More. The area is littered with natural arches, stacks and much more. Almost every corner a new interesting view opens up.

I'll post a larger version of the picture on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday (late) morning. Probably followed by a few other pictures from the walk over the next week or so. Have a great weekend!
