B&B at Coullabus Keepers Cottage, Islay

Islay Links in stencil

Looking for a small Bed and Breakfast close to a nature reserve where you can watch birds all day long? I might have just the place for you, it's about a 5 minutes drive from the new hide at Gruinart I wrote about yesterday. It's called Coullabus Keepers Cottage, here's a (slightly outdated, taken before the solar panels were installed) view of it and the area on Google Streetview:

You might want to ‘drive’ the road down to Gruinart to see how close it is. In addition you can stay with a good conscience as the house is heated using renewable energy (solar and air-source technologies). While I haven't tried it (yet) I expect the breakfast will be very good, Rae is a very good cook. Some might remember her Clootie Dumpling from the visitor welcome evenings in years gone by.

I've known Rae for many years now, I'm sure you'll have a great stay at the cottage. Calling at +44-(0)1496-850652 is probably the best way to get in touch.

Sharing and discussing. Opening up the discussion. Have your say:
