In a Flight Simulator over Islay
And now for something slightly different. Regular readers will remember the videos of flights over Islay I often blog as soon as I spot them. Then there are the flight simulator videos out there. Pretty much all of them I found very disappointing until I came across this one over the weekend:

Of course this still isn't like the real thing, but I was positively surprised by the quality and detail you seem to get now. Many of the roads and even distilleries seem to have been captured fairly accurate, at least that's how I imagine they might look from the air. Having never flown to Islay the highest I've ever been ‘above’ Islay was the view from the Paps of Jura.
