Thank You!
So, the world didn't come to a fiery end 10 days ago, but at least the year 2012 is indeed coming to an end now. This is usually the time to publish a ‘best of’ or a ‘My 5 predictions for’ post, something along those lines. Somehow I can't be bothered. So at the huge risk of almost certainly forgetting someone I've poured myself a wee dram of Islay single malt (what else? A Laphroaig PX cask if you must now) while trying to say thank you:
Thank you to all my readers and visitors to this as well as my other blogs and websites. The regulars who ask about my well being if I take a too long break as well as the irregular visitors. Without you there wouldn't be much point in doing this.
Thank you to all the wonderful people I've met this year, be it old friends, be it new friends. You are great!
Thank you to all the Islay whisky distillers (sorry to all the other distillers…), again I've enjoyed much of your work this year.
Thank you to everyone who got in touch, be it via email, be it via comments here or elsewhere, be it on the various social networks, you name it. I love hearing from you! Unfortunately I haven't been able to reply to everything, one of my New Year's resolutions is to get better at this.
Thank you to everyone who shared their Islay experiences somewhere. On YouTube with an Islay video, on photosharing websites with Islay pictures, on blogs with their accounts of Islay visits. Often you gave me something to share here on this blog or elsewhere, something I've enjoyed and hopefully others enjoyed as well.
Thank you to my sister Imke, well, for being my sister and more importantly being my favourite sister. You rock! I hope to take you back to Islay again soon.
Thank you to everyone who provided encouragement, tips, hints, recommendations and support this year. It does make a difference to me.
