House With A View, Islay
More than two years ago, still on my other blog, I blogged about a Dream House on Islay. A little less than a year later the daughter of the owners contact me and told me a bit more about Lurabus House. It's still a dream house for me. Others are a little bit closer to make a dream reality:
Ian is ‘Principal Teacher of Technology and Design and ICT Coordinator’ at Islay High School in Bowmore. On Wednesday he finalised the mortgage to build a new house. While his blog entry focused on the House Technology I was more interested in the view from his building plot. He will have a view over Kilnaughton Bay to Port Ellen similar to the view above, just a bit higher up (view Ian's picture of the plot in his public gallery). I'm not sure how far away they'll be, but I think the house won't be too far from Lurabus House.
Congratulations, Ian! All the best for the new home, I hope you'll occasionally post updates about the building progress and more views from the house.
