Islay Community Access Group Website

Picture of a group of walkers taking a break on a hill

Back in February I wrote about Walking Holidays On Islay, among others mentioning Islay Walkaboutabit and Walkaboutabitmore. I noticed that Lindy MacLellan had an e-mail address at the islayaccess.org, but when I checked it there was no content. This has now changed: The Islay Community Access Group website went live today!

There's still some work to be done, but James McGregor of Islay IT Services has done some nice work already: There is a Diary with upcoming walks on Islay and for those wanting to go on their own a page with Access Routes to various places on Islay. Certainly worth a visit for information about walking on Islay!

Added to my bookmarks for regular visits.

PS: Only one slight ‘complaint’: The picture in the header isn't of Islay ;-) I happen to know that it was taken on Jura, during a walk to Loch Tarbert on Jura at WalkIslay 2005. And I know this because I have the original having taken the picture.
