Cat Content for the Islay Blog

Picture of a black cat

One of the laws of blogging is that any good blog will sooner or later have ‘cat content’, sometimes also known as ‘kitten content’. Otherwise it can't really count as a blog. I don't think I've had any cat content on the Islay Blog yet. Time to catch up, considering this blog is now pretty much a year old. Here we go, a picture of a beautiful cat.

I don't know her (or his?) name, this is a cat living on the Isle of Jura. We met her (or him) during the Knockrome and Ardfernal walk of the Islay Walking Week April 2004. A quite curious cat, coming out to see who all these walkers were. Which nicely leads me to the next point (a cunning plan, thought up when I first came up with the idea for this entry):

With this entry I'm possibly saying good bye for a wee while: I'm leaving for the Islay Walking Week 2007 tonight. I'm hoping to be able to post the odd update from Islay, but I won't promise anything. If not read the old entries, there are well over 200 in the 2006 and 2007 archives. And watch out for updates after my return from Islay. There will be plenty to write about.
