Jura Fell Race 2007
Slowly but surely this one is turning into a tradition. The first time I blogged about him and the Jura Fell Race was in 2005, still on my other blog. Back then the weather wasn't very good for the race, but nice later. In 2006 he returned, so I blogged about the Jura Fell Race 2006 as one of the first entries on IslayBlog.com. Earlier this year I posted heads up for this years race, hoping he had already registered. So, who's he?
Chris Upson goes hill racing and blogs about it. And as hoped and almost expected he went to Jura again to participate in this years race. Here's his Jura Fell Race entry from last weekend. Having walked in the area in April but not nearly half as far and not over any of the summits I'm even more impressed what these runners achieve.
I don't know if they know each other (although I believe a lot of the hill runners know each other), someone from Lostock AC posted the results of their runners.
Now I'm hoping for another repeat in 2008...
Update 5/Jun: I've just found an additional entry on the Lostock AC blog with a few pictures and a detailed report from the race and everything around it.
