Friday Islay Picture (25)
Yes, it's Friday again. The first Friday in September. The first Friday Islay Picture in September. At least indirectly it will feature something I've mentioned a couple of times the last few weeks. And it is a view on Islay you won't be able to get in this form any longer:
This is the A846 road arriving into Port Ellen from Bowmore, just past the maltings. And in the centre of the picture you can see the Islay Hotel, which is currently being demolished. The ‘Islay’ from ‘Islay Hotel’ still left earlier in the week is now gone, for the simple reason that the whole part of the building is now gone:
There you are, even two Islay pictures this Friday. An older one (the first one is from August 2006) and a very recent one from earlier this week. What more could you want?
