Two New Islay Panoramas
Today I have mostly been working on Islay panoramas. Supported by a pint of Saligo Ale from Islay Ales, lots of tea and most recently a wee dram of Laphroaig Quarter Cask Islay Single Malt whisky I've spent a few hours today working on preparing some new Isle of Islay panoramas:
Two of them will soon find their way on to the Kilchoman Crags Walk page of the Two weeks on Islay in June 2007 travelogue, for today I've only listed them on the Islay 180° panoramas collection page. Both are views from Turnaichaidh, a 170m high hill above Kilchoman on the Rinns of Islay:
- The panorama of a view over Laggan Bay with the Big Strand was the first one I completed today, a nice view over Islay's longest beach at approx 4.5 miles of sandy beach.
- The panorama of a view over The Oa, Northern Ireland and the Rinns was the second panorama I finished this afternoon. One of the clearest views I've had so far over to Ireland, nicely framed by the Mull of Oa and Beinn Tart a'Mhill on the Rinns of Islay.
The last one I'm currently working on is a beautiful sunset seen from the dunes at Kilchoman overlooking Machir Bay. I haven't completed the Quicktime VR version of it yet, so I leave you for the night with just an image preview:

Good night! More tomorrow...
