Laphroaig and Islay on German TV

Scotland and therefore Islay and its whiskies, including Laphroaig, are quite popular in Germany, a country most people will probably associate with beer. It doesn't come as a big surprise that Islay also pops up on German television occasionally. This 10min show about Laphroaig seems to have run on Mare TV in January 2007:

While the commentary is in German you should still be able to enjoy it even if you don't speak German. Listen carefully and you should be able to hear quite a lot of what the folks from the distillery say in English. The views are obviously mainly of the distillery, but you also get to see a few impressions of among other places The Oa and Machir Bay. If however you understand German you might want to also read Meeres-Whisky, which seems to be a transcript of the commentary.

With that I'll leave you to watch the video while I'm off to bed to catch up on some sleep. Good night!
