Islay in the Newspapers Recently

Unfortunately I'm a bit busy this evening, but still would like to give you something to read about Islay tonight. So how about two quick links to two newspaper articles mentioning Islay during the last few days? Sounds good? OK, here we go then:

Regular readers of this blog will already know of this since Saturday. Not to forget the Bruichladdich Blog, who already brought it on Thursday. But then again they sit right at the source for those news. Anyway, the Daily Record needed a wee bit longer to get it past the editor and come out with its report: Islay Distillery Is Now Making Rum.

From Mark Reynier at Bruichladdich to his sister Carolyn, who writes in the Financial Times: Shellfish in a storm. A very nice account of staying on Islay and enjoying excellent food over Christmas and Hogmanay.

I hope that will keep you entertained this evening, but if you still can't get enough and haven't read it yet try Ron's Islay News roundup second-half November 2007 with a summary of the news in the Ileach Newspaper.

PS: Not about Islay but to blow the trumpet for the Islay Bloggers a report I found interesting recently: When You Blog, They Listen
