Islay (and Jura) from Kintyre
And then Christmas was almost over. We went out for a long walk and a nice lunch today, so blogging is a bit later. As a tiny Islay blog Christmas present my sister gave me a few pictures of Islay to publish here:
The pictures were taken during my sister's horse trekking holiday in Kintyre, the view is from south of Machrihanish, from near Innean Glen. The next one covers almost the whole southern coast of Islay, although you will probably need to download the bigger version to see anything:
Biggerise the south coast of Islay panorama
Places you should be able to make out include: Some of the steep cliffs on The Oa. Carraig Fhada lighthouse. Port Ellen. Lagavulin distillery. Ardbeg distillery. Beinn Bheigeir.
That concludes my Christmas blogging for this year, more Islay blogging when I'm back home and normal service resumes. I hope you enjoyed what you've read if you decided to go online over Christmas.
