Islay the Rescue Dog

Islay to the rescue! That's something people in Lancashire will be able to say in a while. Why? Because Islay will still need a bit of training until he/she (?) will be able to help people. After the Sheltie called Islay and Queen Victoria's Terrier Islay this is the third dog called Islay I'm blogging about:

Having received Government funding Islay will be trained as a search and rescue dog by Kirt Livesey. After all Islay is only six months old and needs another 18 to 24 months of training. Once ready Islay will replace Holly, who is about to retire soon.

Good luck Islay, I'll raise a wee dram of Islay Single Malt on your hopefully long and successful career with many many lives saved!
