Friday Islay Picture #118 - View from Port Charlotte Hotel
Finally Friday evening after a rather long (despite the bank holiday) and busy week. Think I earned the Bruichladdich 2009 Peat Ale from Islay Ales I enjoyed earlier this evening. Having earlier tried to take a picture of the full moon over the Kennet and Avon Canal (partially successful) it's time for this week's Friday Islay picture:
This is the view from one of the rooms in the Port Charlotte Hotel, looking out over Loch Indaal, the beach at Port Lag na Tràghàdh and the Port Charlotte lighthouse. One of the best views from a hotel window I can think of. As usual I will post a larger version of this picture (larger as in more than twice as big) on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning.
With that I wish you a great weekend, a nice wee dram of Laphroaig Islay single malt is waiting for me now…
