Sarah Brown's Jewellery Designs

Islay on Video written in stencil

Sometimes you need to get a push to get your act together and finally blog about something you wanted to do for weeks or even months. I've had the link in my Islay bookmarks for quite a while and found the video about 2-3 weeks ago, a post on Mark Unsworth's Islaystudios's Blog today reminded me to post about a young artist from Islay:

The post on Mark's blog is Sarah Brown Designs, where he shows a few pictures he took of her latest work. Sarah designs jewellery, inspired by the untouched natural environment (quite a lot of that on Islay) and island legends and tales. You can find more on her website, sarahbrown design. In August 2010 she exhibited her work in the Outback Gallery in Sanaigmore, which leads me to the video:

Certainly quite a few visitors, especially considering the remote location of the gallery. Unfortunately we don't get to see much of the jewellery in the video, but I think it still adds to the impression. To close I can only join Mark in wishing Sarah all the best and a lot of success with her work!
