Flying a Model Plane from Ireland to Islay

Islay on Video written in stencil

If you were planning to watch some boring reality TV or the umpteenth repeat of some old James Bond, I think I've got something better for you. At least for 31 minutes, and it involves Islay. The event actually dates back to 2007, but the video has only been uploaded very recently. Here is the fascinating documentary how the Ballymoney Model Flying Club flew a model plane from Ballycastle across the Northern Channel to Islay (and back):

I hope you've enjoyed the video and agree with me it worth taking half an hour out of your evening. A few familiar faces on Islay, including the Ardbeg distillery manager. Not to forget some nervous moments on the departure from Islay…
