News from ‘the islay’
It's not long now. Not long until the opening of ‘the islay’, formerly known as the Islay Hotel in Port Ellen. Mark Unsworth of Islay Studios was so kind to send me two new pictures of the hotel today, very welcome as I've got another almost two months until I can see it with my own eyes again. First here's an open door, soon to be welcoming visitors:
There has certainly been some progress in the bar since my last Islay Hotel Port Ellen Update in June. No whisky bottles just yet, but certainly a few colourful bottles:
Look closely at the lamps, they are an interesting concept!
By the end of September certainly the bar should be ready and open, with more hopefully to follow soon after that. I'm certainly looking forward to check it out myself when I'm back on Islay…
