Music in the Port Charlotte Hotel, Islay

Islay Music in stencil

The Port Charlotte Hotel is my favourite place on Islay to listen to traditional music, somehow it just feels right for me. The musicians sitting down in the bar and then just playing their tunes, often with the open fire roaring next to them. A few months ago I blogged about my own video of traditional music at the Port Charlotte Hotel, Islay, today for another music Saturday I've got two nices videos from YouTube user nerabus:

When I mentioned the first Islay Sessions Music Festival video I said I was hoping for more. Well, here is one:

The singer in the checked shirt on the right is Grahame Allison, who with his wife owns and runs the Port Charlotte Hotel. He is also a member and supporter of the Còisir Ghàidhlig Ìle (Islay Gaelic Choir).

I hope you'll enjoy the music and are having a great weekend!
