Friday Islay Picture #256 - Barnacle Geese
Sorry it's a bit late, it's been a long day (and week) in the office. But certainly after this morning's mention in the Scottish Islands Explorer I couldn't just go to bed without a Friday Islay picture tonight. So I had a good look through my pictures (well, made that bit up, just picked a folder and found a picture) and decided to go with this one of some Barnacle Geese in the evening light at Loch Gruinart:
These six Barnacle Geese are of course only a tiny fraction of the tens of thousands wintering on Islay every year. With that thought I'm finishing for today, as usual I'll post a larger version of the picture on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday (late) morning. Good night!
