Friday Islay Picture #261 - Stars over Kilchoman House Cottages
After yesterdays three pictures of the Peregrine Falcon vs Raven another picture from Kilchoman. Very different subject though, gazing into the night sky over Islay. I think I mentioned that I didn't get a chance to do more star trails over Islay as there were too many clouds passing. I did still get the chance for a few night shot experiments like this one:
As I was the only guest at Kilchoman House Cottages last week we switched the outside lights off, which allowed me to take slightly different pictures. For this one I used a 25 second exposure, for the last 10-15 seconds I quickly walked along the cottages with a small torch (you can actually see a short light trail from the torch on the right where I had walked into the field of view).
I hope you like the results, as usual I'll post a larger version of it on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. Unfortunately it probably won't be there for long, but that's another story, may be for tomorrow…
