Friday Islay Picture #269 - Moonlit Night Sky at Kilchoman

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

Hope you're enjoying Burns Night this Friday evening, mine's a rather generous dram of Laphroaig 10yo Cask Strength batch 004. This week's Friday Islay picture has no immediate whisky connection, although at a push you might find a poetry connection, the poetry of the night sky. Here's a view of a moonlit night sky with a few stars over the ruin of Kilchoman church:

This was in November 2012, a moonlit night with quite a few clouds passing through fairly quickly. Taking pictures wasn't easy with constantly changing conditions. Still, I'm reasonably happy with this one, at least at this size. I'll post the larger version on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning, even though I think it doesn't work as well in the bigger version. Once you've seen both versions I'll let you judge what you think.

Have a great weekend!
