The Coaltown Daisies to play Islay
Yesterday I spotted a tweet by The Coaltown Daisies mentioning an upcoming concert in the Port Charlotte Hotel on Friday. A few tweets and YouTube videos later I thought I should better give them a mention here as well. While I'll have to miss it myself I wouldn't want others to miss it because they didn't know. To give you a taster here's a video of them playing three songs at Fife Primary School:
You can follow their adventures on Islay (and elsewhere) on their The Coaltown Daisies Twitter feed and their The Coaltown Daisies Facebook page. As of writing this they are posting updates from the ferry crossing to Islay, I'm sure there will be more to come.
The main concert as already mentioned will be at the Port Charlotte Hotel on Friday 9/May/2014 at 19:00. In addition to that they will also play a few tunes at The Islay Hotel in Port Ellen on Thursday evening, not a full concert, but just a few tunes together with other musicians (Thanks Gav for the tip).
