A clear night on Gigha

Apologies for the lack of blogging here this week, I wasn't in the mood earlier. Anyway, no Islay blogging tonight either, instead I'm taking you to Islay's neighbour Gigha. Unfortunately the video is quite short (it's only 8 seconds long), but I think it's well worth watching, may be on repeat. The preview doesn't do it justice, it looks much much better in the video:

I just love those clear nights with hardly any light pollution (there's still some, but it's nothing compared to what I'm used to from southern England). Seeing those millions of stars in the sky is just amazing. Standing under those skies is just brilliant. I think Markus (I assume that's his name) captures it well.

I hope you'll enjoy the video and if you haven't experienced it yet you'll take the next opportunity to watch the night sky on a clear night.
