Islay Blogging Roundup in stencil

The last day of August 2014, autumn 2014 is approaching rapidly. Hopefull we'll still get a few nice warm days in September. As I wasn't up to posting a roundup last week due to an upset tummy this week's edition will kind of cover the last two weeks, although I'll probably focus on the Islay mentions in the blogs this week. Here we go:

Sarah went paddling around Islay, her entries describing her experiences were Whisky? On Islay? Who'd have thought of that!, Oa! Yeah! and Islay be back!. I mentioned Keith's days 1-9 of his Islay visit last time, since then he added Islay. A magical island away from it all. Day 10, enjoying the coastline., Islay. A magical island away from it all. Day 11, still so much to see!, Islay, a magical island away from it all. Day 12, overseas again., Islay, a magical island away from it all. Day 13, so much to see and so little time. and Islay, a magical island away from it all. Day 14, sadly our last day on Islay.. A Romanian blogger writes about his visit to Laphroaig Distillery, Islay, Scotland. On the Scottish Tour Guide blog we can read about Visit Kilchoman Distillery, Visit Islay Distilleries. Also Kathel had some Mini Adventures Islay & Arran. Livingroom Whisky is full of praise for Michelle [Bruichladdich Tour Guide]. Jonathon hints at more in Islay Experience.

Peter Beyen shares a bunch of pictures from his Islay visit, including Laphroaig, Port Ellen, White Hart Hotel, Hotel from the sea, Lagavulin, Kildalton Cross, Ardbeg, Seaside Distillery, Brand Wall, Mash, Wash, Stills, Casks & Tasting, Carraig Fhada, American Monument, Rough Coastline, Dissolution, Port Charlotte, Soldier's Rock, Islay Wildlife, Birds, Seals, Bowmore and Some Cheese?

After the summer break the Our Learning Blog of Port Ellen Primary returns with Elections, where you could vote for The Peace Party, WOF World of Fitness, TAP PARTY, Vote For Fruitastic and Vote For The Green Team. Ron shares a guest entry about a Four Day Islay Cycling Trip and writes about a WW1 display at Museum of Islay Life

Approaching the end with the birdwatching and wildlife: On the Islay Birds blog we can read a report from the British Bird Fair, a Mallard Duck cake, a report from the bird nerd meeting and a picture of said bird nerds. On INHT blog we find a Frosted Orange (no, that's not a fruit) and Becky reports from her Welly Walk at Ardnave. The RSPB Islay blog shows a Landscape of Change and Seasons of Change as well as All change! And finally Ben Moyes (who previously reported his sightings to Ian) has now completed his blog entries about his families visit: Isle of Islay - Birding Day 1, Isle of Islay - Birding Day 2, Isle of Islay - Birding Days 3 and 4 and Isle of Islay - Final Birding Day.

Finishing with the pictures again Thoschi has Lagavulin and just around the corner Steve shows us Dunyvaig Castle. Mark Unsworth shares Paps & Heather. James Collett shows us Jura From Ronachan in Kintyre. Ron shares views of Port Charlotte, Port Askaig and Dun Nosebridge. From my own Islay Pictures photoblog I've picked Bowmore distillery in the October evening sun, Nightfall at Loch Indaal and the Machir Bay beach panorama, Isle of Islay.

That's it for this week, I hope you found something interesting to read and view about Islay.
