The first week of August 2015 is entering the weekend, summer still hasn't really arrived for the UK and for most of the country probably won't for the rest of the month either. With hindsight I think I was quite lucky during my Islay visit in late June, while it was colder than expected I had a good amount of dry and fairly sunny weather. Now for something slightly different, a picture from said visit, showing a lesser known part of Islay:

This is Loch Sibhinn in the hills north of Bridgend, north west of Knockdon. It's not very big (may be about 400m/1,300ft long), but I think quite photogenic from some angles. Lots of lush green around it when I was there.
