Belgians Like Islay Whisky As Well
Just a fairly quick entry today, as I'm trying to make some progress with the travelogue and a panorama of a view from Kilchoman in the evening. Recently, when writing about what I believed to be an Islay Blog in Hebrew (Update) I mentioned a variety of languages/ countries I had covered. Today I'm adding another one to the list of Islay visitors:
As far as I can remember there are differences between the Dutch spoken in the Netherlands and the Dutch spoken in the Dutch speaking parts of Belgian, but I don't know how big they are and if this counts as a different language. Either way I'm adding another country to the list.
A group of Belgian whisky lovers, members of the 100° Proof Whiskyclub I believe, visited Islay in late February and early March 2006. They created a nice website from their tour, Islay 2006, about the visit. While I (and probably most of my readers) can't understand most of the text I certainly enjoyed a lot of the pictures. There are quite a few of them, so bring a little bit of time when visiting their site. I hope you'll enjoy their pictures as well.
