Friday Islay Picture #159 - Laphroaig Distillery from The Oa
Hi, I'm back. Apologies for the unplanned Islay blogging break yesterday. When I arrived back home after watching Toy Story 3 at the cinema with friends my computer decided to throw a major wobble. Seems to be all OK now, but last night it got too late to still write an entry. Anyway, I'm back now, have just poured myself a wee dram of Laphroaig 18yo and have picked the appropriate Friday Islay picture for it:
That's of course Laphroaig distillery on Islay, seen from the hills of The Oa in the south east of it. I'm not sure from where exactly I took the picture, I think it was somewhere between Port an Eas, Tornamoine and Lurabus. The weather was quite changeable that afternoon, at times I had blue skies and brilliant sunshine, at other times (unfortunately here as well) it was rather dull and cloudy. Still, I quite like the view and the picture.
As usual I will post the much larger (as in more than twice as big) picture on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. Until then I'm going to pour myself another wee dram of the 18yo and wish you a good weekend!
