Friday Saturday Islay Picture #178 - Walkers near Sanaigmore
It's good to be back. For those who didn't know, on Thursday morning my laptop (who had started to cause all kinds of trouble in mid December) gave me a final bluescreen. The replacement (ordered in December, in wise foresight) didn't arrive until Friday afternoon). Setting it up took me Friday evening and parts of today (including copying almost 250 GB of pictures, videos and other files), meaning I'm now back with a rather late Friday Islay picture, which is now more a Saturday Islay picture:
Now there's a reason I posted this picture today: Earlier today the teaser for the WalkIslay Islay Walking Week 2011 has been posted. Same as in the many previous years there are some old favourites as well as some new ideas. The picture above is from an old favourite, the walk from Ardnave to Sanaigmore. This was towards the end of the walk, approaching Sanaigmore with the Paps of Jura in the background.
Once the programme is ‘final’ I will create a PDF version with pictures again and make sure it's widely available for download. I expect this to happen over the next few weeks. I'm looking forward to walking on Islay again, I hope to see many familiar faces and meet even more new walkers on Islay in just a few months.
PS: yes, as this is kind of a Friday Islay picture I will post the larger version to the Islay Pictures photoblog on Sunday morning.
