Tip of the Tongue Festival on Jura Tomorrow

Jura Excursions written in stencil

Yes, I know it's a bit late, at least if you're not on Islay or even better Jura already. I've had the link in my bookmarks for a while, but for some reason only get around to blog it today. A new festival will kick off on Islay's neighbour Jura at lunchtime on Sunday:

The Tip of the Tongue festival banner

It is called Tip of the Tongue – Bàrr Mo Theanga, also known as ‘The Jura Festival of Oral Culture. As the name indicates it is all about words, storytelling, poetry, songs, tradition, history and whatever else you might associate with oral culture. It won't come as a surprise that the Programme includes a variety of artists of many backgrounds. Some events are free, others require a small fee. Best is probably a Festival Pass though, which covers the whole festival (especially as individual tickets might not be available to all events).

The festival is organised by the Jura Music Festival team, I wish them a all the best for a successful festival and all visitors a great time!
