Friday Islay Picture #267 - Barnacle Geese over Killinallan

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

Not sure if this going to help me with the recovery, but it's worth a try. Feeling rather sorry for myself at the moment, suffering from a rather bad bout of man flu (light fever, aches and pains, runny nose, sore throat, you name it, I've got it). Anyway, may be a nice picture with nice memories of Islay will lift my spirits. A picture like this one:

Picture of geese flying above dunes and a hilly landscape

This view is from near Kilnave Chapel (from the track down to it to be precise), looking over to Killinallan and Mala Bholsa. I took the picture during my recent visit in November on a wonderful sunny afternoon. The Barnacle Geese were quite jumpy that afternoon and easily spooked, the large flocks providing additional interest to already very nice views.

With that I'm off to bed (again), hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow. Not sure yet how much I'll blog over the weekend, depends on how I feel. I'll almost certainly post to the Islay Pictures photoblog, will have to see how much energy I've got to post here. Have a nice (man flu free) weekend!

Sharing and discussing. Opening up the discussion. Have your say:
