Video from a sailing visit to Islay
How about another view of Islay from the water? And a bit of Jura as well? With a bit of Rathlin island (visible from Islay on a clear day) thrown in for good measure? Well, if that's what you're interested in tonight, here's the video for it:
YouTube: Jura to Conwy (Port Ellen and Rathlin too) 2013 (5)
The video mentions a previous visit, I guess that was the one documented in Sailing from Oban to Islay (via Garvellachs and Jura) Scotland.HD.avi a few years ago. Three other videos of this SY Viva summer trip take in Islay's neighbours Gigha, Colonsay and Jura:
- Viva goes from Douglas to Ardglass and on to Gigha 2013 (part 2)
- Viva visits Colonsay and Tiree 2013 (part 3) (incl a journey through the Sound of Islay)
- Tiree to Loch Tarbert 2013 (4)
I hope you found the videos interesting, I quite like how each is telling its only little story. Looks like they also had a lot of nice weather, although admittedly we just don't get to see much of the bad weather they had while on Jura.
